Enjoy a magical winter walk under the full moon on the Union Canal Trail with Parks staff! Before heading out, warm up with hot chocolate and learn snowshoe tips while trying out a few pairs. If there’s no snow, the fun continues with a look at snowshoes and a guided hike on foot along the trail.
Feb 1 & Feb 15: West Reading Farmers Market
Location: West Reading Shopping Center Parking Lot

Support local vendors and stock up on fresh goods, baked treats, handmade items, and seasonal favorites at the West Reading Farmers Market. It’s a great stop for winter produce, pantry staples, and unique local finds.
Feb 7: Ice Harvest Festival
Location: Historic Dreibelbis Farm
What’s Happening:
Step back in time at this fascinating festival showcasing how ice was harvested before modern refrigeration. Weather permitting, watch demonstrations using antique tools to cut and harvest ice blocks from the pond (and even if it’s too warm for ice, demonstrations will still take place!). Enjoy wagon rides and refreshments available for a small fee.
Feb 7, 8, 14 & 15: Chocolate & Wine Pairing Weekends

Feb 17: Fastnacht Day
Location: Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles
What’s Happening:
Enjoy a sweet and nostalgic Shrove Tuesday tradition at the Boyertown Museum from 10 AM–1 PM. Guests can dine on classic Fastnachts and sip coffee inside the historic Fegely’s Reading Diner, part of the museum’s collection. Fastnachts will be available for just 25 cents and coffee for 5 cents (regular museum contribution rates apply).
Feb 18–March 18: The Art of Jazz Exhibition
Location: Schmidt Gallery, Goggleworks Center for the Arts (Reading)
What’s Happening:
This annual exhibition celebrates the legacy of legendary local jazz musician Frank Scott, highlighting artwork inspired by jazz and its impact on music, art, culture, and community. Founded in 2005, The Art of Jazz coincides with Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest and is displayed in the Schmidt Gallery at Goggleworks from February 18 through March 18, 2026.
Feb 20: Harlem Globetrotters

What’s Happening:
Celebrate women in sports and support breast cancer awareness during this special themed night at the Reading Royals! Highlights include a Women in Sports pregame Q&A panel, pink ice, and a 1st intermission breast cancer survivor charity shot and on-ice recognition. Plus, the first 1,500 fans will receive a Snuggie giveaway. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM vs. Greenville, presented by McGlinn Cancer Institute.
